I am a lifelong learner with a deep curiosity about how people learn and grow. Through the Applied Instructional Design Academy, I gained the tools, strategies, and hands-on experience necessary to create impactful learning solutions.
My approach is grounded in understanding the learner’s perspective and creating inclusive, engaging experiences that align seamlessly with real-world needs and outcomes. I listen carefully, adapt thoughtfully, and build with intention.
Thanks to a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail, I thrive in bringing ideas from concept to completion, on time and with clarity. Whether I’m collaborating with subject matter experts or navigating shifting priorities, I stay focused, calm, and committed to delivering results that matter.
I design clear, purposeful learning solutions that support business goals, increase learner engagement, and drive measurable performance improvement. Whether you're developing scalable training, improving onboarding, or aligning learning with change initiatives, I help you create content that works.
Based in Ohio, when I'm not designing learning content, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two kids, and two dogs. I love a good book, soaking up the sun by the pool or on the beach, and cheering on my favorite hockey team.
How I Build Effective Learning Experiences
I use a variety of tools to design, develop, and deliver impactful learning experiences. These platforms support the full instructional design process, allowing me to offer a wide range of services, including eLearning development, visual content creation, curriculum planning, and collaborative project management.
Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise): I develop interactive eLearning modules, scenario-based learning, and responsive courses that engage learners and align with business goals.
Canva: I create visually appealing job aids, infographics, course assets, and presentations that enhance understanding and retention.
Microsoft Office Suite: I use Word for documentation and job aids, PowerPoint for visual storyboarding, and Excel for organizing learning plans and tracking outcomes.
Google Workspace: I support collaboration and streamline course planning with shared Docs, Sheets, and Slides, ensuring real-time input from subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders.
Learning Management Systems (LMS): I manage course uploads, learner tracking, and content testing in systems such as Canvas and D2L/Brightspace, ensuring a smooth learner experience from start to finish.
Vyond: I create animated videos that simplify complex topics, support microlearning, and bring training content to life with storytelling and visual engagement.
I continually explore new tools and technologies to provide modern, efficient, and learner-focused training solutions.
Applied Instructional Design Academy Credentials
The Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA) is a nine-month-long, intensive, hands-on program focused on developing real-world instructional design skills. Through this experience, I gained expertise in adult learning theory, curriculum development, and eLearning tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise. The academy emphasized practical application, collaborative feedback, and prepared me to design impactful, learner-centered solutions for diverse audiences.
